What is GeoQuest Tech?

GeoQuest Tech is an application for consumer-based mobile devices that combines software and digital media assets to create new and innovative ways to experience video based guided tours.

Is it a software application or content?

Both and more. The basic software application functions like modular building blocks that can be combined in a variety of different ways. The content you want determines which software features are active in your custom application.

What media formats can be intregrated?

GeoQuest's software is a true, multi-media platform that combines the visual impact of Hi-Quality video, animation and audio with photography, graphics, HTML pages, and realtime GPS-enabled maps. As mobile technology continues to grow in sophistication, our software continues to evolve and incorporate new features that can enhance the experience of our clients and yours.

How long does it take to be developed?

Development time can vary significantly depending on features and content requested by our clients. Rest assured, however, that our deadlines are ambitious and our team has an established track-record of quick turnarounds. How long does it take to launch?

On the iPhone and iPod touch, the final step in the development process is to submit your new application to Apple for approval. Apple reserves the right to take as long as they want in their review process, but our experience has shown that approval usually happens within a couple of weeks, barring any objections from Apple. Once they've approved your app, it's live on the iTunes store and making you money!

Who is responsible for what?

That depends. What do you want to be responsible for? Our contracts are flexible and created on a case-by-case basis, so you're welcome to sit back and watch the magic happen, or dive in and get your hands dirty.

Can I produce my own content?

Absolutely. At GeoQuest, we're quite proud of our production team, and we will gladly facilitate any production needs you may have, but if you're more comfortable handling that yourself, or even if you have content already produced, we'd still be glad to work with you. We can even edit existing content to make sense in the context of a mobile platform.

Can I charge for it or should I give it away for free?

Obviously, the most straightforward way to make money from a product is to charge people to use it. That said, there are certainly marketing models where it makes more sense to provide your goods at no charge and realize your profits through advertising or some other means. Our mobile platform supports in-application advertisements or sponsor-placed content. It really just depends on your own intentions.
